Guitar Lesson Packages

One Hour/ Half Hour Lesson: Hour lessons are $40.00, half hour lessons are $20.00. Lessons are scheduled for a future date and time, or same day if time slots are available. Fee is due during lesson or prior. Availability may be limited.

Benefits:

No Commitment: Schedule lessons as you see fit. Perfect for beginners wanting to try out guitar lessons before making a commitment.

4 Lessons Pack (One Hour): Four lesson packs are $140.00 ($35.00 per lesson). Students will reserve a day and time for recurring weekly lessons. Full pack fee is due at first lesson or prior.

Reserve your day/time: Packages reserve a day and time slot for all the lessons, building a routine and regular study pattern. Priority is given to students for lesson scheduling. 


4 Lessons Pack (Half Hour): Four lesson packs are $70.00 ($17.50 per lesson). Students will reserve a day and time for recurring weekly lessons. Full pack fee is due at first lesson or prior.

In home lessons: All rates above apply, with an extra cost of $10 for travelling expenses. Provide your address when contacting. 

Lesson Policy

Payment Policy:

All payments are due at start of lesson or prior. Please have full payment ready in order to not take up any lesson time. If paying cash, please have exact amount ready.

Hour/ half hour lesson fee is due at lesson time or prior. 

Lesson package fee is due in full at first lesson or prior. Failure to prepay for lessons will result with the loss of your day/time slot.

Jersey City Guitar Lessons accepts: Cash, checks, and credit card. Student is responsible for any returned check/credit card fees.

Student Responsibilities:

Students must be on time for lessons. The last two minutes of lesson time is reserved for packing up in order to not take the following student’s time.

Students must bring their own instruments. Extra instruments may be available for student use, but it is always advisable to bring one’s own instrument. Contact us if there is an issue with bringing the student’s instrument.

Students must bring all music materials with them to lessons, including all books and handouts received and in use. Failure to bring materials may hamper the lesson plan.

Students should practice a minimum of 30 minutes per day at home to take full advantage of their lesson time.

Students must purchase books and other accessories assigned by the teacher.

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:

Students must be on time for lessons. If arriving early, please enter quietly if another lesson is in session. Guests in waiting area must remain quiet in order to not interrupt the lesson. Please have payment ready at start of lesson or prior.

Parent/Guardian must set and enforce daily at-home practice schedule for student.


Cancellations:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a lesson without any penalties. Cancellations for sickness and other family emergencies are allowed only. The lesson will be made up at a later day in the same week, at an open time slot in the teacher’s schedule. Persistent cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the student’s time slot. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are forfeited.

Makeup Lessons:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons will provide a makeup lesson only if a 24 hour cancellation notice is given. Cancellations the day of the lesson will result in the loss of the lesson. Makeup lessons will be scheduled according to the teacher’s schedule. Cancelled scheduled makeup lessons are automatically forfeited even with notice.

School Vacations:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons operates on all school vacations and our regular policy applies.

Holidays:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons is closed on the following holidays: New Years day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. All other holidays are treated as a normal lesson day.

Weather Cancellations:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons may close in the event of severe weather. Call or check website to make sure we are open. If we remain open, regular lesson policy applies.

 Vacation Leave:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons will not be able to hold a student’s time slot in case of an extended vacation. If student still has unused lessons they will be made up at a different time slot.

Unused Lessons:

Jersey City Guitar Lessons does not refund unused lessons in a monthly package. Lessons may be transferred to other dates only.
