Below is a full list of all materials students will need for their guitar studies, along with highly recommended links for those materials. The teacher will tell you which materials from the list the student will need.
Children's Guitars
1/2 size classical guitars: This is the guitar type used for students interested in learning classical music. Students pluck strings using their fingers on the right hand. (Ages 4-7)
3/4 size classical guitars: This is the guitar type used for students interested in learning classical music. Students pluck strings using their fingers on the right hand. (Ages 8-11)
1/2 size steel-string acoustic guitars: This is the guitar type used for students interested in learning modern acoustic guitar music of many types: Rock, blues, jazz, alternative, etc. The student uses a pick to pluck strings with their right hand. (Ages 4-7)

Additional equipment like amplifiers and cables are required, so starter packs that come with all essential equipment is recommended. (Ages 4-7)

Footstool: Used to elevate left foot for better playing posture. For classical guitarists only.
Neck Up guitar support: Alternative to footstool. More comfortable and portable.
Guitar amplifier: Used to amplify electric guitars.
Guitar cable: Used to connect an electric guitar to an amplifier.
Guitar case/Bag: Used to transport the guitar safely. Some guitars may come with case. Ask salesperson to make sure you buy the correct case for your guitar type/size.
